As hinted in my last post about Closed for Good? The “Retail Apocalypse” in Britain since 2005, it’s not only shops which have been abandoning our town centres in recent decades. Banks have been a proud and prominent component of our towns, not least architecturally, for over a century – until the apocalypse.
