The cover photo on Closed for Good? The “Retail Apocalypse” in Britain since 2005 – paperback and e-book – is of one of my local derelict branches of WH Smith. Here it is, in Ramsgate, along with Margate’s equally ruined site, both in High Streets – right in the middle of our shopping communities.
